The CLAS LEADS Undergraduate Certificate in Leadership, Innovation, and Diversity will be made available as soon as Fall 2017. The certificate will require 9-12 credit hours (including the CLAS LEADS Prospect Course) and will emphasize internship opportunities and experiential learning.
We expect the program to be selective and grow incrementally each year up to a maximum of 50 students. By limiting the number of students, we can and will provide focused attention, instruction, and opportunities. And, LEADS provides plenty of opportunities for students who do not participate in the LEADS Undergraduate Certificate program.
The LEADS Undergraduate Certificate Program will consist of one to two courses specifically designed for LEADS students and the program, with the remainder of courses drawn from the existing academic catalog. The certificate will be transdisciplinary and include all CLAS departments.
